Reed cap in different circumstances need to pay attention to the installation and adjustment matters

Installation and adjustment of the reed cap: 

   When the weft jamming force of the fabric is 

large, in order to reduce the bending deformation 

of the reed under the action of the jamming force, 

it is necessary to install the reed cap on the top 

of the reed. The installation height of the reed cap 

is determined according to the height of the reed, 

so that the reed cap acts on the entire width or 

part of the width of the upper lying edge of the 

reed, and the reed cap must be installed horizontally 

at the upper end of the left and right reed seat feet.

  The adjustment of the contact surface gap between 

the reed cap and the reed is realized by adjusting the 

adjusting screws at both ends of the reed cap. In 

general, their contact surface gap (not card weft): the 

middle part of the reed is zero gap, the two ends of 

the reed is (0.2 ~ 0.5) mm gap is appropriate. If the 

two ends of the reed is zero clearance, it means that 

the reed cap is too tight against the reed, and the reed 

cap should be adjusted in time, otherwise the reed 

will be easily deformed and torn under the action of 

the force.
