In a loom, the warp is divided into upper and lower pieces by the opening mechanism to form the gibs, and then the weft is introduced into the gibs by the weft insertion mechanism. The movement of introducing the weft into the gibs is called the weft insertion movement.
Introducing the weft into the twisted opening can be accomplished in one of two ways:
1. With shuttle guide: under the shuttle mechanism, in the shuttle mechanism;
2. Shuttle-less weft insertion: mainly refers to the rapier weft insertion.
Components: conjugate cam, cam wheel housing, rotor (roller), lower rod end pinch pin, triangular rod, adjusting screw (tie rod), rapier disk (with 56 rotors on it), rapier belt, swing rod, wheel cover, sector gear, rapier belt slide, rapier belt stopper (guide plate), open roller, weft cutter (weft catcher), impactor (door buckle), weft insertion eye, impact bracket, impactor base, and weft wire tension disk (wire gripper sheet), Tapered top spring (tower spring), adjusting bolt for wire clamping piece, axle gear.
1. Introduce the weft wire into the twisted opening;
2. Keep the weft wire at a stable tension;
3. Cut off the weft wire of the lead strand.
