The 2023 China Anping International Wire Mesh Expo has opened

On October 22, 2023, the Anping International Wire Mesh Expo opened at the International Convention and Exhibition Center in Anping County, Hengshui City, Hebei Province, China. The three-day expo features 600 exhibitors showcasing six categories of wire mesh products and machinery. More than 138 customers from countries such as Russia, Singapore, and Saudi Arabia, as well as over 50,000 domestic customers, came to negotiate cooperation and order products. On the opening day, 12 domestic and foreign cooperation projects were signed on site, including Australia's Ashimi Company's emergency equipment and high-end smart fences, Antai Environmental Engineering Technology Company's new materials industrial park, and Guanghua Technology's technology enterprise incubation park, with a total investment of over 7 billion yuan.

This exhibition has expanded international cooperation and communication through a series of activities, such as the "Belt and Road" International Direct Procurement Fair, the Anping Wire Mesh Global Procurement Base Award Ceremony, and the Cross-Border E-commerce Industrial Park Opening Ceremony. The rich exhibition products and forms have been welcomed by merchants from various countries. Nigerian merchant Ding En, along with partners from five West African countries such as Burkina Faso, attended the Anping Wire Mesh Expo for the first time. He stated that he had previously traded wire mesh products with China and they have been widely used in various fields in many West African countries. This time, he and his partners will comprehensively purchase and cooperate long-term with Anping wire mesh enterprises to continuously supply the West African market. Yemen Chamber of Commerce Vice Chairman Mana said: "Like many foreigners, I am very willing to participate in this kind of centralized exhibition. Here, I can compare goods and choose the best. I am mainly here to purchase various types of wire mesh products from Anping and locally produced water pumps." Marina Anatolyevna Turtonova, Minister of the Development and Liaison Department of the Belarus Chamber of Commerce, said: "We have many friends in the wire mesh industry, who have brought us high-quality wire mesh products, and we have developed deep friendships. Recently, our Chamber of Commerce has cooperated with Anping Jiade Medical Equipment Co., Ltd. on a high-end ice hockey stick project, and it is progressing smoothly." Andrei Usanov from Russia reached a purchasing agreement for filtering screen products worth 1 million yuan with Hebei Hengying Metal Products Co., Ltd. at the scene. Foreign merchants not only came to purchase orders but also applied for exhibition booths in advance, such as Japan's NS Mesh Co., Ltd. to showcase and sell their products.

Among domestic exhibitors, more than 56% of wire mesh companies are from outside of Hengshui City, and over 80% of wire mesh machinery enterprises are from outside as well. Moreover, this wire mesh product showcase is full of technological innovation, representing the development trend of digitalization in the wire mesh industry. "Our company has upgraded and innovated digital solutions in the decision-making, equipment, software, and financial sectors, promoting the upgrading of the industrial Internet and providing great convenience for the Anping wire mesh industry," said Liu Shijie, Vice President of Hebei Iron and Steel Digital Co., Ltd., an exhibitor at the event. Local exhibitors also seized the opportunity to showcase high-end products, attracting many buyers to negotiate and place orders. At the booth of Anping Tianze Metal Products Co., Ltd., many new and old customers were busy negotiating deals. Indian merchant, Nawen, who had participated in the Anping Wire Mesh Expo in 2019 and had talked with Tianze Company, was enthusiastically negotiating stainless steel wire business at the booth again this year.

This expo is not only a platform for supply and demand but also a platform for technology exchange. Tsinghua University's Tianjin Institute of Advanced Equipment, Hebei University of Science and Technology's engineering design agencies, and related enterprises showcased new products, equipment, materials, and processes in the industry. During the event, activities such as the "Technology Achievements Express" and the national standard promotion event for "Metal Wire Woven Dense Web" were also held.

Anping wire mesh, after more than 500 years of inheritance and innovation, has undergone a transformation from traditional handicraft industry to modern industrial cluster, driving the construction of wire mesh gathering areas in surrounding counties, cities and districts, radiating to all parts of China and even the world. There are now over 13,000 wire mesh enterprises, more than 12,000 national marketing outlets, covering administrative regions at or above the county level. The wire mesh industry is expected to achieve a revenue of 88.3 billion yuan by 2022. 24 overseas warehouses have been actively built, and a cross-border e-commerce industrial park has been introduced to promote deeper integration into the "Belt and Road" initiative. From January to July this year, the import and export reached 2.88 billion yuan, with a growth rate of 14.2%. The Anping International Wire Mesh Fair has been held for 22 consecutive sessions, greatly promoting trade and quality improvement in the wire mesh industry.
