Anping County has been successively named "China's Wire Mesh Capital", "China's Wire Mesh Industry Base", "China's Wire Mesh Production and Sales Base", "National Foreign Trade Transformation and Upgrading Base", "China's Wire Mesh Export Base", "China's Weaving City", "China's Wire Mesh Capital", "National Excellent Industry Cluster", "National Advanced Hardware Industry Base", and "Characteristic Economic Demonstration County of Hebei Province".
Production Scale. Currently, there are 210,000 people engaged in the screen industry, with more than 60,000 migrant workers. There are 40,000 sets of various wire drawing and weaving equipment, consuming over 800,000 tons of various sheets and over 4.5 million tons of wire each year, weaving 1 billion square meters of screen. In 2017, the output value of the screen industry reached 56.3 billion yuan. The screen industry has become the core and leading industry of Anping County's economy, and its driving role in the entire economy is increasing.
Corporate composition. First, there are over 13,000 industrial production enterprises, including over 3,000 wire drawing companies, over 7,000 net weaving companies, and over 400 surface treatment companies. Second, there are 13,945 commercial and trade companies, including 1,476 county-level distribution outlets and 12,469 nationwide marketing outlets covering administrative areas above county level. There are over 13,000 nationwide marketing outlets. Third, the corporate ownership structure includes 132 above-scale silk screen enterprises, accounting for 84.1% of all above-scale enterprises, with 13 listed companies and 20 provincial high-tech enterprises.
Market Position. The production and sales volume of the screen printing industry accounts for over 80% of the national total, as does its export volume. There are more than 1,100 companies with export qualifications, which have established over 100 sales outlets overseas. The county has over 150 companies with exports exceeding 500,000 US dollars, and elite companies like Jeton and Yinkaimo are among the top 30 electro-mechanical export companies in the province. Through exports on a self-operated or agent basis, the industry exports approximately 18,000 standard containers annually. The major markets include Europe, America, Japan, Korea, Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Africa, which account for more than 60% of the total county exports.
Brand building. Anping wire mesh products have developed into 6 major series including drawing, weaving, welding, punching and pulling, non-woven and products, with over 400 varieties and more than 6,000 specifications. They are widely used in industries such as petroleum, chemical, construction, papermaking, medicine, automobile manufacturing, animal husbandry, and are also applied in high-end fields such as aviation, aerospace and national defense. In recent years, there has been a strong push towards technological innovation and brand building. Currently, there are a total of 1,336 trademarks, including 2 nationally renowned trademarks, 43 provincially renowned trademarks, and 78 municipally renowned trademarks. The "Annet" trademark used by 40 enterprises has been approved.
