Wire Mesh Machine Adjustment of the Opening Mechanism (preliminary adjustment before starting the machine) Part 5

6. Adjustment of the height position of the heald: The height position of the heald (i.e. the heald tolerance) is adjusted according to the different weaving patterns and different wire mesh specifications.

(1) General requirements for the location of the heald height:

(1) When weaving plain wire mesh, high weave is generally used, which means that the warp position line is higher than the warp straight line when joining strands (i.e. the heald tolerance is negative).

2) The height of both ends of the same page of the heald must be the same.

(3) When weaving twill or satin wire mesh, generally use flat heddle weaving, that is, when the merging stranded warp position line overlap in the warp straight line (i.e., heddle tolerance is 0).

(2) Method of adjusting the height position of the heald

1) A wire is pulled on each side of the net as a warp straight line reference, which is not threaded through the crossbar, not through the heddle, but through the reed, and is pulled tightly from the back beam to between the breast rolls.

(2) When weaving plain nets, the weaving machine stops at the time of the twist, observe whether the relative position of the warp position line and the warp straight line meets the requirements, if not, adjust the length of the tappet to make the heald rise and fall by a certain size, until it meets the requirements. When the tappet is adjusted long, the position of the heald rises, and when it is adjusted short, the position of the heald falls.
